Sudden pain caused as a result of a deep cavity that is not fixed on time, so it has progressed to the nerve of the tooth. This is where the inflammation of the nerve begins, so as the severe pain. The pain can be sharp or pulsating. If this is something that happened to you during the night or at the weekend, you can help yourself by taking some of the painkillers. The next day call us immediately so we can get you in for a same-day appointment. When you come to our office, you will receive local anesthesia for that tooth, and get an X-ray done. The dentist will begin a root canal treatment. In some cases, you can have antibiotics prescript and you need to take them responsibly, even when the pain is gone.
