It could take around 10 days to create veneers because they are made in the dental laboratory, based on your teeth impression. After that, you will get the perfect surfaces of your teeth that will remain the same for many years. In the meantime, while waiting for your veneers to be done, you will get a temporary solution to have on your teeth for this period of time.

Post-Operative Instructions

  • As with temporary crown, temporary veneers must be taken care of. Try to avoid fracturing or peeling them off and avoid very hard and sticky foods. Wash your teeth normally, but be careful with dental floss, because it can damage it.
  • After cementing the new veneers, your teeth and gums can be sensitive for several days. This is something you don’t need to worry about and every day the pain will be a lesser problem. If this pain disturbs you in your everyday activities, you can take some of the painkillers that will be prescribed to you in our office.
  • The first few days after getting new veneers you will have a strange feeling in your mouth. The surrounding soft tissue, tongue, and lips require some time to get used to the new situation in your mouth and the size of the teeth.
  • For the first few days, be careful while eating, and try to determine if your new bite is bothering you. If you find that you can’t get used to it and that it interferes with your speech, call us right away and we will solve your problem.
